Garden City Beach

Located just south of Surfside Beach is Garden City. Garden City stretches south to the mouth of Murrells Inlet and straddles the Horry/Georgetown County line.


At the heart of Garden City is the Pier !!! located off N. Waccamaw Drive at Atlantic Avenue.  During the summer enjoy music, fishing or just walking the Pier.  click here to read more.

A little bit further south in Garden City you can enjoy boating at the Marlin Quay Marina a full service marina with store and a restaurant.



Finish off your day at the beach here at one of the best restaurants in the area - The Gulfstream Cafe. Enjoy the breathtaking sunsets over the marsh.

Wow, today is such a hard day for me.. I had to put down, not 1 but 2 of my poodles.  Bradley was 17 and Elvis was 16.  They were 1/2 brothers and were together through everything.  Elvis wouldn't even pee anywhere else unless it was right by his brother. Bradley was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in May 2011.  He lived longer than the 6 months the vet gave him at that time.  Elvis has had seizures since he was a puppy and developed tumors growing on him over the past 2 years.  They both lost control of bladder and had to be let out almost every 15 minutes, thank goodness for my hubby that he was able to be here with them the last year when it got so bad. Bradley could hardly walk anymore, most times falling down and having a hard time getting back up. The last couple of nights he was becoming very restless and could not settle down to sleep... Murrells Inlet - "Seafood capital of South Carolina"

Murrells Inlet is located south of Surfside Beach and Garden City.   Murrells Inlet is split between two counties  Horry and Georgetown Counties. The town was once primarily a fishing village, but has grown substantially.  It is most known for the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk —the 1/2 mile long boardwalk overlooking a pristine saltmarsh—and the many award-winning seafood and barbecue restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district. One of my favorite attractions is the beautiful Brookgreen Gardens .
