What to do and see in Myrtle Beach?

If you are planning a trip to our area, or for those of you who already have been here, then you know that there is always something to do at the beach!  We have live shows, shopping, golf, fabulous restaurants and of course the beach.

Some of my favorite things to do are:

Alabama Theatre - be sure to see the show it is awesome and the host of the show Greg Rowles makes it!

There are two great State Parks I visit regularly - The Myrtle Beach State Park and Huntington Beach.  Be sure to visit Atalya while at Huntington.

Shopping is not a problem - be sure to check out two Tanger Outlets in the area, (one is located on Route 17 in North Myrtle Beach the other is on 501 in Myrtle Beach), our Coastal Grand Mall, and my favorite is down in Pawleys Island The Hammock Shops.

Italian - Valentinos II in Surfside Beach,
Seafood - Drunken Jacks in Murrells Inlet
Local - Peppers in Socastee
Mexican - Abuelos at the Coastal Grand Mall

A fun place to listen to music on a Sunday afternoon is The Boathouse located on the Waterway in Myrtle Beach.

Pets tug at your heart.....

Wow, today is such a hard day for me.. I had to put down, not 1 but 2 of my poodles.  Bradley was 17 and Elvis was 16.  They were 1/2 brothers and were together through everything.  Elvis wouldn't even pee anywhere else unless it was right by his brother. Bradley was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in May 2011.  He lived longer than the 6 months the vet gave him at that time.  Elvis has had seizures since he was a puppy and developed tumors growing on him over the past 2 years.  They both lost control of bladder and had to be let out almost every 15 minutes, thank goodness for my hubby that he was able to be here with them the last year when it got so bad. Bradley could hardly walk anymore, most times falling down and having a hard time getting back up. The last couple of nights he was becoming very restless and could not settle down to sleep... Murrells Inlet - "Seafood capital of South Carolina"

Murrells Inlet is located south of Surfside Beach and Garden City.   Murrells Inlet is split between two counties  Horry and Georgetown Counties. The town was once primarily a fishing village, but has grown substantially.  It is most known for the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk —the 1/2 mile long boardwalk overlooking a pristine saltmarsh—and the many award-winning seafood and barbecue restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district. One of my favorite attractions is the beautiful Brookgreen Gardens .
