LORIS QUICK FACTS: 23 miles from the coast of South Carolina 7 miles  from the North Carolina state line Loris was incorporated on July 26, 1902 The annual Bog-Off Festival attracts approximately 25,000 people. Loris began as a railroad town serving the lumber industry in the late 1880's and became the first town in the state to have its own newspaper, high school, bank, telephone system and doctor.  Today, the revitalized downtown area offers shopping, dining and southern hospitality.  Enjoy the local farmers market. Where is this?   Well I am talking about a town called Aynor. Incorporated in 1913, Aynor once had a bustling Tobacco market, as well as a cotton gin, brickyard and several mills. Located about 35 miles inland on Highway 501. Aynor is well known for its annual Haravest Hoe-Down Festival held in September.
