Looking for a quieter place at the beach?

If you are looking for a quieter pace at the beach then check out Longs, SC.  Longs is a small unincorporated community in Horry County, South Carolina, United States. It lies about 14 miles northwest of North Myrtle Beach, located at the intersection of S.C. 9 and S.C. 905. The town itself consists of a post office, a gas station, and a few small businesses, however, the area is fast growing into a suburb of the Grand Strand.



Some of my favorite places to eat in that area are Bistro 90 and Jay's Asian Fusion Restaurant-2126 Highway 9 E, Ste D5, Longs, SC 29568 (Cross Streets: Between Surfrider Blvd and Cloverleaf Dr/Charter Dr)

If golf is what you are looking for there are a number of good courses nearby (so I am told ) I myself do not play!!

Foreclosure Stats are in from Realtytrac.com: For August 2012 1 in every 677 homes in South Carolina received a foreclosure filing. 1 in every 692 homes in Horry County received a foreclosure filing in August 2012. 148 homes filed foreclosure in the Myrtle Beach area this includes zip codes, 29588, 29575, 29579, 29577 and 29572.  The highest filings were in the 29579 and 29588 zip codes. Foreclosures will continue to hit our market, but the rate at which they are being filed is slowing down. There are still some great buys here at the beach!!!!
